In our last week we have had to connect concepts from School Organization and Educational resources because it is really important to get a Meaningful Learning and, by doing this, we can reach this objective. Also, by doing this we are practicing the dimension called relationship with learning because we are connecting previous knowledge with new one. We have connected many concepts and we explaied them on Wednesday. However, there were two concepts that were repeated a lot. That is the reason why we realize they are, probably, the most important in Education. The first concept was Teacher- Students Relationships. We all know this is crucial but we have found another dimension of the concept. Students are frommany different backgrounds, some of them have disabilites, others can't understand the language, the rest have problems such as stress or weakness in particular subjects. This week we have worked on different types of leadership. First of all we read some documents about it because we needed to know them as much as possible in order to choose the one that we wanted to defend on Friday. It was a hard task because all of them have their pros and cons. Firstly, we focused on Authoritarian Leadership which is based on strict rules and control. We thought it was interesting to take this severe type to defend how sometimes it is necessary. Nowadays, parents and grandparents are always complaining about the lack of discipline in teenagers. It is a reasonable argument because we can hear disasters caused by teenagers in the news. An example is the group of Granadan boys that were as bored as to set fire to a vagabond that was sleeping on a bench. This week our teacher has proposed us to create a stop motion where we had to explain the ten key concepts that of the Decalogue developed by the platform #porotrapoliticaeducativa related to the basics for a new educational law in Spain. For this we first had to read the document and make a summary of the concepts and decide which were the most important ideas we wanted to show in our video. When we had already selected them, we had to think how we were going to represent them. We came up with different options such as using plasticine dolls, origami figures, drawings ... But finally,we chose to be our own actors and make it with photos because we thought it would be easy to make and the people would understand it better. We wrote a script explaining what happened in each scene and how we were going to record it so that everything was clear and we prepared everything we needed.     This week we did the second part of the 7th's task which was called "Complexity and Relationships." We read the text "teaching and learning in the digital age - Cap. 4". After Reading this text we were told what we had to do and we found it very interesting but complex at the same time. We found it interesting because we think that is a really useful thing to learn about these different aspects for our occupational future. This text go through some topics such as teacher-student connection, which is very important for us to take into account because, we, as future teachers have to be open-minded and ready for receiving student's knowledge and advices because the learning process is not a one way procedure but a rotative one. T his week, the project that we had to carry out has been more complex than the rest of the projects, since we have worked using the flipped classroom method in which our teacher, Linda gave us some instructions to make the task in class, which It is very good because it allows us as students to think about the task before starting to work on it and it also helps us to develop our knowledge by working individually, since each of us must first know the work that we are going to carry out and later we met and we shared the previous conclusions obtained. Then, once we have shared our conclusions ... we had to look for some news related to education, since it was one of the parts of the task. This week we have created a comic using 10 key concepts we have learnt in the last weeks because it was our task number 5. First of all, we put in common our opinions about which concepts were better so that we could recollect and compare them to finally get an agreement. We believed it was useful to improve our work as a team because it was possible to share different points of view. Also we practiced our critical reasoning because we had to analyze the pros and cons of all suggestions. It was a really usefulactivity due to the fact that if we initiate controlled debates in our future classes, we will be able to develop some of the higher phases od Bloom's Taxomony with students. After this little debate, the key words were chosen but we had to include all of them in a modern comic. Hello lovely readers!! It’s Neón. This week we have been working a lot, on Monday we stayed to work the whole evening. In this task we have learn a lot of things about textbooks and its contents. We have discovered that the contents in textbooks are not neutral at all; actually they are influenced by many things as the sociocultural context, the economy in the country and so on. In the exposition we learnt, thanks to the Erasmus students, how textbooks are used in a really different way in other countries, because they consider books as a complement and not as the base of education as in Spain. We have also seen how the point of view for teaching something can change from a country to another, for example in the subject of history, where is easy to see how differently conquests are told. Hi there! Neón's again.  We had to search the three kind of map projections that exist: Mercator, Robinson and Azimuthal. With this, we could discover that there isn’t a single interpretation of the world and depending of how you represent it, the continents and the countries are bigger or smaller. Although in the past it was just a question of representing the Earth but nowadays, the size of the different nations are related to their political and economy importance. On the one hand, this is a subject that matters a lot in our future jobs, because, as teachers, we have to know which one is the best to teach children geography and politics because it is the most realible representation of the world. On the other hand, we should explain students that some sizes are distorted due to "importance" and also foster their critical thinking because they have to realize these connections by themselves in the future. Hello lovely readers! I am Neón and I’m going to comment what my group and I have done this week. Francisco José Cruz Romero and Marina Montes Graña are the analysts this week so they are going to be the ones in charge of writing the reflection. In this task, we had to elaborate two slideshows, one about how to do a good presentation and how to use the creative common licence, which we uploaded in the last post, and another one which we had to present in front of the class. Our star this week, María José Fernández Ros, did such a great job explaining the different families of musical instruments. We also got the opportunity to listen to the other groups’ presentations which were really interesting and we learned a lot about many different things. Hello lovely readers! I am Neón and I’m going to comment to you what my group and I have done this week. As I told you in the previous post, María Serrano and Lucía Hernández have the responsibility to do the reflection in this task and they are going to tell you what we have done during this week. In this task, called "TPACK" that means Technology, Pedagogy and Content Knowledge, what we have done is investigate about this topic because we had to learn things about it in order to explain the task to our classmates on Wednesday. With this research we have learnt some interesting things about TPACK and we have developed cognitive dissonance and meaningful learning.
