TROUBLE IN THE PARADISE

Image
Hi lovely readers!! It's Neón with new adventures.  This week I have travelled to the jungle, more specifically to Amazon Jungle. I've always wanted to have such trip and I must say it has been amazing. I have coexist with some native tribes. They have shown me many different types of animals and insects. Also, they showed me how to hunt and prepare typical food.  We have sailed through the Amazon River in a really tiny boat. It has many kinds of strange fish, we caught one which was enormous.  While I was going out with the last tribe a little boy showed me a map which said there were a hodden treasure. I thought it was just a game so I decided to play with him. However, we surprisingly found something. When we started to dig and we found a chest, I believed it was imposible but it was there. I was absolutely nervous. We opened it and the little boy started to shout: "Yeees!! There it is".  My reaction was totally different, there were some chocolate pounds o...

Hello lovely readers! I am Neón and I’m going to comment what my group and I have done this week. Francisco José Cruz Romero and Marina Montes Graña are the analysts this week so they are going to be the ones in charge of writing the reflection. In this task, we had to elaborate two slideshows, one about how to do a good presentation and how to use the creative common licence, which we uploaded in the last post, and another one which we had to present in front of the class. Our star this week, María José Fernández Ros, did such a great job explaining the different families of musical instruments. We also got the opportunity to listen to the other groups’ presentations which were really interesting and we learned a lot about many different things. Fireproofessors did such a great job explaining to us the water’s density by doing an experiment, Teacher Formation did a very interesting presentation about England’s customs and symbolism, Lovely Teachers gave us the opportunity to ...

KEY CONCEPTS AND MIND MAP

Image
Hello again my lovely readers!! To finish this task we have chosen these five concepts as the most important ones of our presentation related to the instruments: - Instruments family: there are different kinds of instruments which are wind, string and percussion family. - String instruments: they can be played by three differents ways, which are bowed, struck and plucked. - Percussion family:  instruments that are believed as the oldest musical instruments, following the human voice. - The voice: is an instrument that can be heard but not seen and touch and it's considered the most important instrument. - Brass family: includes all the modern brass instruments and it's characterized by the sympathetic vibration of air in a turbular resonator.    Moreover, we have added some websites used in this task to the previous mind map:

OUR WEEK

Image
Hello lovely readers!!  Here, Neón with a small summary about this week, in which we did the third task of the subject School Organization and Educational Resources, called How to do a good presentation. On Monday 19th, our teacher Linda explained to us the task we had to do during this week and she gave us some advices about how to do it in a correct way. When she finished her explication, my group and I started with the task. Our facilitator, María Cerón told us what we had to do and we started looking for information and working all together.  When the classroom finished, we had lunch at the university in order to continue the task in the afternoon. On Tuesday 20th, my group and I continued doing the presentation for this task. We met in the afternoon at the university because in the morning we had to go to class. The facilitator organized the day and we finish the presentation as we expected. Furthermore, our Star, María José Fernández prepared her speech...

TPACK: KEY CONCEPTS AND MIND MAP

Image
Hi there again my readers, To finish this task we have chosen these five concepts as the most important ones in order to better understand TPACK and everything we have explained about it: Knowledge: are the facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. In this task is referred to content, pedagogy and technology. Connections: are the relationships in which something is linked or associated with something else. In this case how the contents, the pedagogy and the technology are linked among them. Technology: are the machinery and devices developed from scientific knowledge , but computers and mobile phones are not the only technologies, a pencil, the blackboard or a table are technology too. Pedagogy: the method and practice of teaching, especially as an academic subject or theoretical concept. TPACK ANALYST'S REFLECTION

Hello lovely readers! I am Neón and I’m going to comment to you what my group and I have done this week. As I told you in the previous post, María Serrano and Lucía Hernández have the responsibility to do the reflection in this task and they are going to tell you what we have done during this week. In this task, called "TPACK" that means Technology, Pedagogy and Content Knowledge, what we have done is investigate about this topic because we had to learn things about it in order to explain the task to our classmates on Wednesday. With this research we have learnt some interesting things about TPACK and we have developed cognitive dissonance and meaningful learning. We have developed cognitive dissonance because we have searched information by own-selves about this useful topic for our future job as teachers because we consider that the mix between technology and education is very useful considering that, nowadays, we live in a technological era, so technology is huge...

SURFING ON THE NET

Image
Hello again my lovely readers, It's Neón with new and fresh information. As I told you on one of my last post, I love travelling. But not only travelling around the world visiting different countries and places, I also like to travel... on the internet! I have to admit it, my psychologist told me last time I visited him that I had to reduce my internet consume, but I just can’t stop surfing! Any suggests? Anyway, yesterday I was talking with my group mates of TEACH PERFECT and they told me that the other groups of my class have also a blog, interesting right? So, as I have this little internet problem situation, I couldn’t resist to visit some of them. One that catch me up was the one from UNIVERSAL TEACHERS, because has a lot of information about their daily life as students of Primary Education, and their Journalist of this week has described very well all the things we have done in class. Another one that I visited was the EMPTY 21’s blog. It’s has a really nice design and also...

OUR THOUGHTS AFTER TPACK EXPERIENCE

Image
After this crazy week working on TPACK, we have learnt how to cooperate together to do a poster and a presentation with basic ideas. We recognize that the TPACK framework is a good way of work for our job as teachers, because it show us how to connect technology with pedagogy and content in an appropriate way to be an effective teacher. On the other hand, we can see some lacks to be a good way of teaching, like for example the relationships between parents, teachers and students and the way of evaluation. To finish with this topic, I would like to say that working here with Spanish students is the best thing that happen to me in years. I used to be a lonely unicorn without a goal in my life, but now I know perfectly what I want: to be a perfect teacher and teach perfect! I can’t wait to the next week to know what we are going to do.  -Neón- Me with my classmates after our presentation.

THE OTHERS GROUPS ABOUT TPACK

Image
Although we worked a lot in our presentation of our poster of TPACK, we also discovered that the others groups have done the same or more. We have noticed that they have made a good effort in preparing a good poster, they put all the principal ideas clearly and they transmitted to us that they perfectly understand this framework. We have to congratulated all of them because, even this is our first task in this signature, we all worked together and help each other to better understand the matter. We absolutely love how some of the groups have used colours to explain the connection and relationships between the technology, pedagogic and content in the TPACK and also the drawings that represents their way of thinking about this question. Also we like that some of them had funny pets (but not better than me, of course). All of them were so creative and we have to give everyone a round of applause because they deserve it. -Neón- Teachers Team Universal Teachers ...

SECOND WEEK: TPACK MIND MAP

Image
This week has been the first in which we work by groups in SO&ER. Our first task was about the TPACK framework. TPACK is basically a way to help teachers to use and bring technology into the classroom effectively. It is composed by a union between content, pedagogical and technological knowledge.  What we have done this week was basically to search for information about TPACK and it parts and put all this info together in a poster with colours and drawings. Our group chose to do a mind map because is more visual, has key words and it’s begin in a principal idea with secondary ones. For do this mind map, we draw a jellyfish and put on it all the words we thought were important for us. We worked really hard on this because we wanted to have it perfect (like our name hahaaha).  Finally, on Wednesday, we made a 5-minutes-dating with the others groups of our classroom to share our discovering with them. The stars (Marina, Paco and me) explained to the audience TPACK and th...

WHAT WE DID THE LAST DAY?

"Saludos amigos". My spanish is progressing step by step and I'm so proud of it. On our fourth day on SO&ER we had a lot of fun and we made a story and a reflection about it. Do you want to know what we wrote?  STORY      As each Monday, at half past nine, my classmates and I go to the classroom 2.21 to learn about the subject “school organization and educational resources” with the teacher Linda.            The previous Monday, the classroom was about how to do a reflection in a good way, in order to be able to pass the following tasks that we have to do in this subject. We were shown a Power Point and an explanation about this topic, so that, we can successfully apply the knowledges that we learnt in that classroom.           When we finally learnt the different types of reflection; which are descriptive, dialogic and critic, we were told to write our own reflection about an expe...

THIS IS ME!

Image
Hello everybody, My name is Neón, and you are right, I am an unicorn. I am very colorful and friendly. Between my hobbies, I really enjoy running through the countryside and drinking fluid water. I am originally from Hawaii, but I have lived around the world because I'm immortal. However, I have an imperfection, my favourite food is garden gnomes, so I'm always looking for these creatures. It is a difficult task because it's difficult to enter to the houses and my classmates do not allow me to do it, I don't know why! Now I’m on a Erasmus trip here, in Murcia (Spain), studying Primary Education because I want to be a powerful teacher and open my own Unicorn’s school for all the unicorn’s babies without home that are around the world. In this second quarter my favourite subject is School Organization and Educational Resources (or SO&ER for friends). I join into a very lovely group of classmates called TEACH PERFECT and they are very kind with me. So, to sum up, ...

TEACH PERFECT, WHO ARE WE?

Hi there! It's Neón, today I want to introduce you my groupmates of TEACH PERFECT. Read very carrefuly because they have a lot of things to say. Let's do it! Hello everyone! My name is Eva García Núñez, I'm from Alhama de Murcia, a little town near Murcia's center and, like all of us, I am studying Primary Education. I am on the first course and I am really excited to learn about how to teach and how to be a perfect teacher. I hope my staying here will be productive and enriching. Between my hobbies I can spotlight fotography and drawing. I'm really fanatic of cinema and the audiovisual world, so that's why I had doubts in the past about what degree I should chose. I finally decided to get into Education because I like children and how we can change their thoughts and behaviors only with a look and support. But I will not forget the "big screen", so after this degree I would like to do a course or something like that about this amazing area. Hi!...
