Analyst's reflection week 7.2



    This week we did the second part of the 7th's task which was called "Complexity and Relationships." We read the text "teaching and learning in the digital age - Cap. 4". After Reading this text we were told what we had to do and we found it very interesting but complex at the same time. We found it interesting because we think that is a really useful thing to learn about these different aspects for our occupational future.
This text go through some topics such as teacher-student connection, which is very important for us to take into account because, we, as future teachers have to be open-minded and ready for receiving student's knowledge and advices because the learning process is not a one way procedure but a rotative one. Another of the chapters from the text is the one which talks about connections with peers, which is really important because children of young ages and adolescent years are really influenced by their friends and classmates, so probably a bad behaviour which is given from a student could be generated by the influence of his or her peers.
The third topic which based on the text is about how connections within the learning context has to do a lot with the motivation of students. It is said that students are more motivated and engaged into the lesson if it has direct link with their lives so we, as teachers should always give them a reason why they should learn the given materials.
The fourth one talks about the connections beyond the classroom which is a really useful topic to know about because nowadays, with the technology era we're in, we should not limítate our classes to giving information from only a book, the resources should be different so students can learn about a topic from different perceptions which force them to create their own opinions about it.
The last one is about helping students to organize their previous knowledge and mix them or replace them with the current one. The brain  decides what kind of informations has to storage, memorize and process.
After this reflection about the utility of this week's task, we conclude by saying that this week was a little bit out of control because we had to do the task really quick because we worked without Linda - our supporter. That's why we didn't have any chance even for asking her for an advice and then for presenting it so we had to record all of the stuff by ourselves and put it on YouTube. We had to edit it in the quickest way as soon as possible but we didn't give up and we actually made it. Ready for what next week brings!
